The answer is “social contract”. China has wantonly interfered in the agreed “high degree of autonomy” and democratic development of Hong Kong, apparently violating the Sino-British Joint Declaration.
We therefore want to pressurize the UK so that she will look squarely at China’s despotic rule over Hong Kong, intervene in the capacity of one of the signatories of the Joint Declaration, force the devilish regime to stop, to abide by the Joint Declaration — an international agreement recognized by the United Nations — and to give Hong Kong democracy and autonomy.
